About Lisa Weaver
Lisa Weaver is a Professor of Accounting at Warwick Business School and a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. A qualified chartered accountant (ICAEW), Lisa began her career at Deloitte, where she worked with a wide range of clients including charities, multinational corporations, listed companies, and football clubs.
With over 25 years of experience in professional education, Lisa specialises in developing high-quality learning materials for qualified accountants and finance professionals. Her work spans key areas such as IFRS, corporate governance, audit, ethics, integrated reporting, and sustainability - equipping professionals with the knowledge and insight needed to navigate an evolving regulatory and ethical landscape.
Lisa is the author of two well-regarded books: a practical guide to implementing IFRS and a comprehensive textbook on audit and assurance. She also co-authored the ACCA''s report on ethical dilemmas in the era of sustainability reporting. A regular speaker at professional and academic conferences, Lisa contributes thought leadership on the evolving responsibilities of professionals in a changing world.
